I am a 50 year old alpha one sufferer I have only the middle bit left on both my lungs, and I would like to say hello to this group. I live in Torquay and I am holding my own currently walk everyday with supplementary oxygen as I have to lovely bichon frise dogs who are my ‘babes’ I am hoping I can continue to feel this well, although with my condition that is doubtful, there is no cure as yet and I am hoping that one comes soon. I would need a double lung transplant if not. That is in the hands of the ‘gods’ for me so I have no idea when my turn will come and I did manage to evade transplant and come back from the brink, (another story) but doubt this will happen again..hope to enjoy you all and look forward to being here. …
