Help Amelia Scholey raise £10k for Organ Donation

February 8, 2011 in Latest News, Your Stories | Organ Donor Recipients

amelia-scholeyAmelia Scholey has set herself a tough challenge. She aims to raise £10,000 to be split equally between the British Heart Foundation and Live Life Then Give Life by August 2012 as well as promoting organ donation.

Unfortunately Amelia lost her father to heart problems as well as her brother suddenly due to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy in October 2001. Soon after she found out she had the disease she was put on the list and a heart was found. Sadly this heart would not beat so she was put on a heart machine until another heart could be found. Luckily, that heart soon came and now, 10 years on, Amelia hopes to raise awareness for organ donation.
